When a person comes in contact with the sunlight, the ultra-violate rays creates vitamin D in a person’s skin affecting as much as 2000 genes in the body. Vitamin D helps in the growth and development of teeth and bones. If your body absorbs less vitamin D, then there is a risk of developing bone problems like fragile bones (osteoporosis) or soft bones (osteomalacia).



Exposure to sun rays can treat several skin issues according to the World Health Organisation. Ultra-violate rays radiation cures skin problems like psoriasis, jaundice, acne eczema etc. All you need is to stand for 15 minutes under sun and get rid of skin issues.

In colder regions, due to lesser sunlight, people are effected with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). SAD is a form of depression caused due to seasonal changes. According to the Journal of Psychiatry & Neuroscience, sun rays can help to avoid premenstrual dysphoric disorder, depression in pregnant women, no seasonal depression etc.


 Sunlight also helps in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, inflammatory bowel disease, thyroiditis etc. Early morning is the best time to gain benefits of sunlight.
